Check out some of these beverages from around the world to see how other people wet their whistle.

Kombucha
Kombucha was first brewed in the 19th century by Russians, and it is essentially fermented tea. A yeast or bacteria culture is placed in a sweetened black or green tea, producing a taste that is both sweet and slightly rotten. It may be served at room temperature or chilled.

Kefir
Kefir means “foam” in Turkish, and it is a fermented milk drink, served cold. It might be made with cow milk, goat milk, and sheep’s milk. The result is a very rich, slightly sour drink that can be consumed as is or sweetened with sugar or honey. Frozen fruit is another common addition.

Sinh To Bo
Sinh to bo is an extremely sweet cold Vietnamese drink that may also be consumed as a dessert. At the most basic level, it is a creamy smoothie made out of avocado, regular milk, and sweetened condensed milk. In Indonesia, chocolate syrup or coffee may be added.

Lizard Wine
Chinese lizard wine is produced through adding small lizards and ginseng to a vat of fermenting rice wine and letting the mixture ripen for a year. The result, after straining and chilling, is a green liquid that tastes a great deal like brandy.

Atoles de Elote
Atoles is a type of Salvadoran drink that has its roots in Mayan cuisine. It is a thick cold drink made from fresh corn, salt, and cinnamon, and the result is a wonderfully sweet, refreshing beverage, perfect for sipping on a hot day.

Kvas
Kvas, also spelled kvass, is a drink found all over Eastern Europe, and this rye-based, slightly alcoholic drink is often produced at home. Kvas is typically served cold, and it has a robust, slightly sour flavor.

Bacon Martini
The bacon martini is a signature drink from Las Vegas, where the martinis are produced using vodka that has had bacon soaking in it. This drink is perfect for people who are interested in something a little unusual, and it often comes with a slice of bacon resting in the glass instead of the traditional olive.

Po Cha
Po cha is a butter tea that is an important part of daily Tibetan life. It is made from strong tea and that is then skimmed and shaken in a container with yak butter and salt, producing a thick nourishing liquid that has a very rich taste. This high-calorie drink is consumed throughout the day, both by the people in the household and any guests who happen to drop by.

During your tasting, it is recommended to begin with the lighter chocolates and lighter wines and work towards the darker chocolates and fuller wines.

A motor vehicle accident can range anywhere from a fender bender to a multiple car pileup with severe damage to cars and medical nightmares for those involved. A person getting in a serious motor vehicle accident could be looking at months, even years of medical procedures, physical therapy, and repeated visits to doctors and hospitals to make things right once again.

There is often a lot of time, money and energy spent on the rehabilitation process. The trauma of a bad accident can reach far beyond the totaled vehicle. If the victim has suffered severe injuries, there are more than a few decisions to be made. Once the victim has been medically stabilized, the plan for getting “back to normal” begins. Depending on the type of injuries sustained, this plan includes repeated doctor visits, trips to physical therapy, and may even involve plastic surgery, to repair and basically reconstruct a person’s face or limbs to make them not only functional, but acceptable to the victim.

In today’s world, plastic surgeons are highly trained surgeons, who continue on in their surgical schooling to complete higher degrees and more ability in plastic surgery. The “nose jobs” of yesterday have evolved into procedures requiring meticulous skill, where the plastic surgeon is well-trained. With new techniques and years of training, the field of plastic surgery is not only highly respected, but sought after by those who have had severe injuries to the face or other part of the body that they seek corrected.

The financial burden of a serious accident can be staggering. If the injuries are severe, the victim may not be able to return to his job for a long time, having to go on short-term or even long-term disability. The medical bills can pile up very quickly, not to mention the monthly bills that have always been there. It is very overwhelming. Taking care of the day-to-day things can give the accident victim some control over what appears an out of control situation. If money is tight the victim can consider a short-term loan from PayDay One Loans, a company that makes short-term loans available when a little more cash is needed. This type of loan can help get the bills paid, without having to rack up even more interest charges and long-range payment plans.

An accident victim who becomes a plastic surgical patient has enough to worry about. Finding ways to ease the financial burden, or relieve the anxiety that often accompanies these types of accidents, is the best way to guarantee a strong and safe recovery.

Today my sister signed up for a three day volunteer work and they were provided with net-books to work on. According to her, she didn’t like the net book as it hurt her eyes as she was using it for a long period encoding data from Sendong evacuation centers. Of course, she had the choice of using her own laptop, which she did eventually. Her companion recommended that she wear glasses, but the other volunteer in their group of six recommended using Biofinity lenses. Since it was her first time to hear about said eye protection, she chose to search about it online when she got home this evening. And of course, she shared the info she gathered from www.1800contacts.com with me. We need to take care of our eyes and wearing glasses is just one of them. However, for people who do not like to be seen with them, may opt to use contact lenses. And the latter actually comes in many different designs and colors to mark one’s aesthetic preferences. Whether the reason to wear one is to look good or to protect the eyes, it will actually be a very good option.

As for my sister, well, she is still working on her volunteer work tasks as of writing this, and I pity her because it is not just her eyes that is hurting now, but her back as well. I saw the work load and it is terrible. All data to be transferred and to be emailed right away when done.. Gosh.. They should have prepared this two days ago. I learned that it was kind of a rush because they are going to use the data for tomorrow’s meeting— well, shame on them. Hiring people to do their jobs at the peak hour.. Har work is not even enough for the allowance..

You can really see the smiles on their faces as they ate the food served, as they received their gifts and as they enjoyed the time spent with their givers. I am sure that if you are one of the few who gave support, whether it’s financial or in kind for this endeavor, you too will smile as you look into the happy details.

Above is my sister and Mommy Ruby, with some of the bags I gave away. Look at the smiles on their faces. The event is totally a recipe for happiness. Looking at the photos, I see that the guys who went there had a difficult time to reach the place, Besigan– the farthest point of the city of Cagayan de Oro..

They had to ride the bumpy road, trek through the muddy path, get dirty while walking under the rain with heavy load…but according to my sister, when they reached the peak, and saw the children who were waiting for them, all their tiredness vanished and they were all so happy to see them at last..

As a matter of fact, CDO Bloggers Inc shall go back there for more help.. Hopefully I can join them by then… I can’t wait to meet the kids too..

I wonder how it would feel to ride the dump truck– the only transportation to go there… I was told that this is provided by the city government to help the farmers transport their goods and products from Besigan to the market, and back.. My sister said the ride was quite okay at first, but halfway through it gets bumpy as the roads are really bad. I wonder why it was never given any attention..

Just like many treasured Christmas traditions, these three classic Christmas cookies originated in Germany.

Spritz cookies are sweet buttery cookies. To “spritz” them properly onto an ungreased cookie sheet, you’ll need a cookie press. Place the dough in the press and push out into various shapes, including circles and triangles. By tinting the dough with a bit of green food coloring, the circles become wreaths and the triangles Christmas trees. Both can then be decorated with red candies or decorations to complete easy Christmas cookies.

Spritz cookie dough is very simple. Cream ½ lb. of butter with ½ cup sugar. Beat in
1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Gradually incorporate 2 cups of flour and a pinch of salt.

Place the dough in the cookie press and “spritz” it onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. These cookies are done just before they brown.

Springerle are traditionally anise flavored cookies with stamped designs on them. To maintain the integrity of the designs, they are often dried after being placed on the cookie sheets. This way, there is less moisture in the cookie to burst through the top and destroy the design as it is baking. If you are simply rolling and cutting out the dough with no design to worry about, or if you prefer a softer cookie, there is no need for the drying process.

To make springerle cookies, beat 4 large eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add ¼ cup softened butter, 1 lb. powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon anise extract. Gradually add 4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt until the dough forms a ball. Divide the dough and roll it out. Cut out the cookies and place on cookie sheets. Bake at 300 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

Pfeffernusse, literally “pepper nuts,” are spicy little balls, traditionally finished with a sweet glaze or rolled in confectioner’s sugar.

For pfeffernusse cookies, warm ½ cup molasses and ½ cup honey over low heat. Add
½ cup butter and let butter melt. Cool. Add 2 large eggs.

I have often wondered how it would feel like to be wearing imported jewelry– diamonds from other countries to be precise. I wish I could visit jewellery sydney australia to find out, but a trip to Australia is yet to happen in the future, and not right now.. My friends in Ontario told me about canada diamond engagement rings and how they have been awed by their presence every time someone gets married or shows off an engagement ring to them. And I would think that there may be something different about every ring produced from wherever they have been produced. My cousins in Singapore would say that singapore engagement rings can be flattering to give, as well as to receive. Nonetheless, the rings would serve their purpose, regardless of place, distance and time..

But what is it with diamond rings that it makes every occasion in a woman’s life truly special? I guess someone was right in saying that it is a woman’s best friend. Which is actually highly over rated! Hehehe

Hello Guys. This is quite an overdue post (I know that many obtain free content for their blogs and websites from Article Writing Services, but not me! I’ll make the time to write my own posts). See, I have not had the time to click a photo of me, until today. And guess why? I always forget. Hehehe.. Anyway, I got this shirt from TShirtPrinting.Net, which is actually one of the sponsors at Tomoson.

Since I got this a few months back, I have always loved wearing this shirt because of how comfortable it is. And look at that monkey design, isn’t it cool? If you visit their website, you can actually find other designs and also order from there if you wish to have one for yourself.

As for me, I alway wear it in traveling, or just about anywhere where I anticipate to be humid. This cotton shirt does wonders in making me feel comfortable despite the warm weather. I so love it! Thanks Martin for generously sending one my way..

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
